Being grateful.
I rather take in kids from low income families who appreciate the help and care we give to their children. :'(
Sometimes I'm just amazed by how attached they are to their parents even when they had to work from morning till very late at night. They took the effort to call every single day and ask how their day went. The kids are much more receptive to learning even if it takes them a longer time to grasp a concept. And I'm even willing to guide them because of their will and determination. Simply put, they are great motivators to others.
Today, I just got a, "what did u learn today?" from a grumpy parent speaking LOUDLY. Obviously directing the question back at me. I'm not a tuition teacher. Ur son won't get marks from 19% to 90%. He doesn't even have the proper life skills that he should be getting from you. I don't just look at academics. I take care of his well being too.. his emotional learning. He treats me like a maid, without any please or sorry. He demands me to do things for him. I have to lecture him to be a better person. Isn't that your job, oh father?
