Ok, let's start with mak andam, make up and outfits.
Ok, honestly, when I was still in my teens, I have always loved Rias Andaman. Everytime when I look at magazines, the one and only andaman service that caught my attention is them. I don't know if it's just their model (rozita che' wan) or it's just their baju. It's super simple. Super elegant and quite classy. Unlike the others, theirs' really really simple. I like things like that, and so, the deal is done! And that made me happy. They were the last shop we stopped by during our intensive december '09 recce days. Though it was near my place (Bt Timah) they were the last store we went and they were the second cheapest service. So... since I was really tight, i settled for the service I could afford. And I'm pretty sure it looked just like any other andam service which are $400 - $500 more than we paid for. And so, once again, I was happy. :)
Oh and I chose just 3 outfits. Just 3.
Coz I thought, studios are really not my thing.
I mean, If you look at it, studios are like...
..
..
You're wearing THEIR outfit, you're modelling for THAT outfit which you have to return the day after. So, I thought, why should I model for TH
EIR outfit and pay $10
00 extra. It' doesn't resemble anything about me nor Z. I don't know, but, that's just me.
I wouldn't pay for anything unnecessary.
If I really wanna do an outdoor shoot, it would be my own comfortable dress. Maybe on our 1st anniversary ke, special days ke (hint to Z :p)
And there's always the gorilla pod if we decide to feeling2 outdoor shoot sendiri. Haha.
Secondly, we did not choose any modern baju, western baju where the bride wears a poofy white gown and the groom wears his suit complete with the bow and everything. Hahaha.
I'm sorry, but I just find it...
..
perculiar?
I don't know. I think it's just us. Z cannot imagine himself wearing that.
And I, on the other hand.. I don't know.. I'm already so short and I think I'll just be so giggly if I were to wear.. Coz I'm gonna feel so... funny.. he
hehe..
But, well, maybe someday anniversaries ke, special shoots ke.. (Hint to Z again) I'll wear them. :)
Ok, so back to R. Andaman.
This was the first picture way wayyyy back in the younger days that, I said, wow, that's really classy. This was in the 1990s..
And then in the recent years...
It was this. Now, who wouldn't fall in love with that right?
And then, during our first meeting I was happily choosing this outfit and the other 3. Wah like, so happy, my outfit no one booked ah? Hehehe.
And then disaster strikes. A few months later when I visited her store again, she said, the white outfit that i chose went for dry cleaning the other day, and all the labuchi fell off. She said it will take some time for her to reorder from her tailor.. and s
o... How tragic isn't it?
And so I tried this.
I know it still looks ok. But I don't comprehend the bare shoulder. And the bare back.
I'm wering white for nikah. And the least I should cover my body right?
And so, Z advised me to take the one below instead.
Coz its more sopan.
'
And so, that's how the story goes.
Overall, I find their services wonderful.
Kak Aidah's realy sweet and very accomodating.
We spent about 6 hours on a bulan puasa just choosing the baju.
And she had to bring her kids along to her kedai.
And me, being me, I'm sooo choosy with what goes with what.
But I think she's quite patient.
And her pricing in slightly below the market price.
So, I think I am quite satisfied with her service and her make up artist, Kak Fida.
Though the neck wasn't bedak-ed enough. Can see the difference. Haha.
But, overall, Good! :D
The final look?
