Some needs 8, others 5
I can survive on 7, but my mind and body are a lot happier with 8.
I'm jealous of those that thrive on 5 or 6. I would get a lot more done in my life if I could do that. I'm talking about sleep.
After a few days of less than 7, I become a danger to myself and others :(
On good days, I get 7. On bad days, I get 6.
And these few weeks have been 6, 6, 6 so that makes it approximately 6 hours lack of sleep on average per week.
I'd like to think its not within my control. It just functions that way. Yet, I also feel it's selfish of me to neglect other things in life.
Here's what the scientists says:
Researchers have identified a genetic mutation linked to the amount of sleep people need. There is a genetic variation that lets people sleep less than others without even affecting their energy level or ability to function. There may be some people who can function more productively with less sleep.
I'm not one of them. So, I'm sorry to those whom I have caused so much displeasure.
Everyone is different. We’re all different in many ways, and sleep is one of them.
